The deadline is drawing nearer: 1,100 companies have now signed a clothing sponsorship agreement with Team Rynkeby.

Team Rynkeby Foundation has entered the new year with a renewed belief that it is possible to set new fundraising records yet again this year. But we’ll have to work hard up until the deadline on 18 January 2019.

After a tough start characterised by a failed IT project, which for almost one and a half months made it impossible for the participants to register sponsorship agreements, the Team Rynkeby participants have now made up for lost time.

In total, the participants have concluded no less than 1,100 sponsorship agreements with companies that contribute with a minimum of DKK 20,000 to Team Rynkeby Foundation’s fundraising for children with critical illnesses. For their contribution, the companies get their logos on the charity cycling team’s yellow cycling wear.

The numerous clothing sponsors are a strong driver in Team Rynkeby’s having raised just over DKK one million more than at the same time last year, and the progress is welcomed by Carl Erik Dalbøge, Team Rynkeby Foundation’s director.

“There is an impressive spirit and wealth of ideas among this year’s participants, and I am deeply grateful for the efforts they make for the organisations with which we cooperate,” he says.

“A great deal of work has been done locally on putting faces to the children and families we’re working for. The participants know what difference they make, and that makes them work even harder,” continues Carl Erik Dalbøge.

Deadline on 18 January
But the participants will also have to put in some hard work in the coming days.

On 18 January 2019, all clothing sponsorships must be in house so that the charity cycling team’s clothing can be put into production in Italy and be ready for delivery to the riders around 1 April 2019.

“If there are potential companies that have shown interest in supporting Team Rynkeby, then they should be contacted and agreements closed. By 19 January it will be too late,” says Carl Erik Dalbøge.

Relentless progress
At Team Rynkeby Storstrøm in Denmark, there are almost 40 company names on the clothes and a new local clothing sponsor record – so you might think they’d be satisfied. But that’s not the case.

“We are relentlessly progressing towards the deadline. You can get many hours of research for just two or three extra clothing sponsors, and that’s what it’s all about. That’s why our participants are making a last big push right now,” says Mikael Kastrup Hansen, Team Manager at Team Rynkeby Storstrøm, who hasn’t found it more difficult to obtain sponsorships.

“Every year, it depends on the participants we have on the team. Some participants have better networks and are more creative than others. And that’s just the way it is. This year, all of our participants are at an amazingly high level, and I am very satisfied on behalf of the children,” he says.

If you want to support Team Rynkeby’s fundraising for children with critical illnesses, then contact Team Rynkeby Foundation as quickly as possible.
